About the place
A very cool accommodation right at the start of the cliff trek (when doing it from west to east). There is a saltwater pool and a restaurant on site, and the staff are very nice. The views are the real bonanza - nearby there is a black sand beach with crazy views of the green terraces and surrounding mountains. Note not to enter the sea - a. the waves and undercurrents are brutal, b. there are Portuguese man o' war
