Beach for snorkeling with sea turtles

About the place

A small fishermen's beach with quite a few sea turtles you can snorkel with. Basically, to see the sea turtles you need to take a fisherman's boat about 15-20 meters from the shore (to get past the waves). The guide (who sails the boat) throws a fish bone and scraps into the water to lure the turtles and they arrive. The locals already know the turtles by name. The recommended way is to get there independently by aluguer and ask someone on the beach (they will simply gesture to you) or book in advance with a travel agency from Mindelo.
